With its debut in 2010, the Department of Zoology has produced 07 batches of graduates, many of whom have pursued their Master’s Program in various universities and cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Eligibility Test (SET). Many are pursuing their PhD, while some got absorbed in public and administrative services. Denzila Yolmo, a student from the department, secured first rank among students of the 2015-2018 batch of all other colleges under N.B.U. A couple of students have secured SGPA 9.3 under the CBCS system. Every academic session, the department holds students' seminar on the trending issues of biological sciences. The department continuously strives to maintain a research environment and to equip students with laboratory exposure through departmental projects. It also reinforces experiential and contextual learning through a Biodiversity Study Tour in every academic year.
